\"It's great that the ESF has given us 28 million and with it the opportunity to support people towards work and study. But we can't rely on their resources forever. That's why we're going to focus from the start on getting methods and skills into mainstream organisations.\" With this goal in mind, Sophia Dahlgren, Head of the Roslagen Coordination Association, opened the kick-off for Lumena Roslagen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

The first of September saw an intense morning at Tibble Church. It was the first, but far from the last, meeting between ESF project staff, participants and managers, as well as representatives from member organisations and steering groups. Meeting across borders promotes collaboration, which is one of the projects' objectives.<\/p>

On the participant's terms<\/strong><\/p>

In total, Lumena in the county will support 1600 people in Stockholm County. As one of seven sub-projects, Lumena Roslagen will help 300 people get closer to work and study.<\/p>

\"We work with participants based on their motivation, resources and needs. We do this through individual support through Work Coaches and with the person-centred method of Supported Employment\", said Sophia<\/em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

In Lumena Roslagen, the employees will also immerse themselves in the Danish study BIP, which highlights the importance of believing in the participant's ability to reach the labour market. Soon we hope to add case management as a method.<\/p>

\"<\/em>We focus on methods and on contributing to a more inclusive labour market. The person's willingness and motivation to move on to work or study is the most important thing.<\/em> \"<\/strong><\/p>

Conecto for the development of officials' competences<\/strong><\/p>

In parallel to the local work, the two sister projects Lumena and Conecto are ongoing at regional level. Under Conecto, employees, managers and other stakeholders at all levels will receive skills development.<\/p>

\"We offer everything from methodological guidance and in-depth training in the methods we have chosen, to training in gender equality, equity and accessibility.
These concepts should permeate all processes in the projects,\" says Stefan Cepeda, project manager for Conecto in the county. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>

\"There is a place for everyone, sometimes it just takes a little longer\"<\/strong><\/p>

The energy and engagement was at its peak during the final workshop when participants were asked what they expect from the project and how they can contribute to the project's objectives.<\/p>

\"There is a success factor in the county-wide scale. Evaluators and researchers will analyse the results, which will give us the conditions to create changes at a structural level,\" says Sophia<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

We are several different partners in the project and we have common but also different challenges.<\/p>

\"What we have in common is that the person is at the centre.
