On 28 September, around seventy employees gathered at Ingenj\u00f6rshuset for a day of inspiration, knowledge sharing and networking. We looked back and forward. Process leaders Hanna Zaid and Ottilia Liljeberg were the moderators, who together with project managers Maria Reed and Stefan Cepeda gave an update on everything that is going on.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have ambitious goals in Lumena and Conecto. We will support 1,600 participants by 2025 and increase the skills of all those who influence the challenges of the labour market in terms of methods, gender equality, equity and accessibility. Without our competent staff teams, this would not be possible.<\/p>\n

\"Several exciting lectures will take place in the autumn, so keep an eye on the website. Support structures, a regional and a strategic steering group are in place. In addition, the researchers will soon be up and running and the evaluators are in the starting blocks. We have come a long way in terms of methodology, training and governance of the project, now we just have to get going\", said Stefan Cepeda, project manager of Conecto.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u201dThere is a place for everyone, for some it just takes a little longer<\/u>\u201d,<\/p>\n

That sentence was the start of Johanna Thagemark's inspirational session on the methods and the ambitions around them. Johanna is a development manager in the Co-ordination Association HBS and has a position of trust for the Supported Employment method in Sweden.<\/p>\n

\"Everyone has a place, but sometimes it takes a little longer, we borrowed that sentence from one of Conecto's first lecturers, Annica Malm. It is a principle and a set of values that should permeate the work in the projects. Everyone has dreams, everyone has the right to dream. Our mission is to support participants towards their goals,\" said Johanna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Johanna highlighted that there is a difference between saying that everyone is welcome and acting accordingly. Often we are good at identifying barriers.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe can all work more on gender equality, equity and accessibility. Within the framework of Lumena and Conecto, we will work towards more inclusive welfare. We also need to become even better at co-operating. This is a challenge that exists in the world of coordination organisations. We want to work together, but there is a lack of knowledge about how to do so. In Lumena and Conecto, we want to spread knowledge about how we can work together in the best way\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
