The lecturer Katrin Skogberg Wirén, Medical Director of the Affective Disorders Centre at Huddinge Hospital, explained what depression and bipolar disorder are. What it is like to live with the disease. How it affects life and work ability and what the healthcare system does to treat and support people with affective disorders.
Last autumn, Katrin published a book together with Henrik Wahlström, who lives with bipolar disorder. Both are working to increase knowledge about bipolar disorder and to reduce prejudice and stigma surrounding mental illness.
