Domestic violence in young people - 1000 possibilities

14 Dec - 23

Men's violence against women costs society 43 billion a year and men's violence against women starts with boys' violence against girls.

How can those of us who work with young people be better at recognising exposure to violence as early as possible?
Mr Mikis Kanakaris gave us several important insights into how we can change our own attitudes and fears in order to create sustainable alliances with young people who are exposed to violence.

The 1000 Opportunities Fundraising Foundation (link) runs various activities with the overall aim of achieving a gender-equal society free from violence.

Ungarelationer.se (link) is run by 1000 möjligheter and is a national support and knowledge platform to counteract violence in young people's partner relationships. Young people up to the age of 20 can turn to it, whether they are victims of violence, the perpetrator or a friend of someone who is being/is perpetrating violence.
