3 quick questions for Conecto's monitoring researcher Ulla-Karin Schön

1. Can you briefly describe your role as an accompanying researcher in this project?

Together with Joakim Tranquist, I have an assignment to investigate the outreach work in the Lumena project aimed at people who are neither working nor studying.

2. What are the most interesting or unexpected insights you have seen so far in your research?

There are many interesting things that have come to light. But I have been surprised by the level of disengagement with the care and support system among staff. Much of the work that staff have described in the group interviews we have conducted has been about strengthening the voice of participants and making their needs visible so that they can access support and interventions.

3. What are the main challenges you have encountered in your role as an accompanying researcher?

One challenge for me has been to understand the role of the Lumena project in relation to ordinary work in several organisations. But here the employees' descriptions have been valuable and Joakim's solid orientation in the Coordination Associations has also been clarifying.

On 1 October, Ulla-Karin will also hold a knowledge seminar on the recovery processTake the opportunity to gain new insights and tools that can help improve support and recovery for those who need it most.
