Lumena Conecto's first annual report!

Finally, Lumena Conecto's first report is ready, detailing the activities and results of the first year.

During the first year of the Lumena Conecto project, we have made significant progress. Through collaboration between seven coordination organisations in Stockholm County and support from the European Social Fund, we have worked purposefully to create more inclusive welfare.

During this period, we have reached over 868 individuals far from the labour market, many of whom have taken steps towards studies and work. We have also offered skills development to over 1 326 public sector professionals.

Here are some of the key achievements of the year:

  • 48 % of participants have graduated to work or study, showing clear progress towards our goal of promoting social inclusion and empowerment. We see that the person-centred support offered by the project, based on evidence-based practices, is having a good impact on those we support.
  • More than 1,326 professionals from municipalities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the region have participated in our skills development forums. This leads to new insights, increased knowledge and further strengthens the ability of professionals and organisations to work with methods and approaches to create a more inclusive labour market.
  • We have started to establish structured cooperation with employers, which will create new opportunities for sustainable employer engagement and long-term inclusion.
  • The project development groups were launched at the first staff day in September 2023 and have aimed to increase expertise in specific areas, facilitate exchanges of experience and propose developments.
The groups focus on the key areas of the projects; employer engagement, the BIP study, human rights, outreach and participant empowerment. Through these groups, we have started to strengthen regional collaboration and promote peer learning.

We are proud that our work to increase inclusion, accessibility and non-discrimination in the labour market is already producing concrete results. Through evidence-based practices and a strong focus on collaboration and learning, Lumena Conecto contributes to sustainable changes that make a real difference in people's lives.

To our amazing project managers and staff - it is your hard work and dedication that makes this success possible. Every day, you take important steps towards a fairer and more inclusive future for those who need it most. We are confident that, together, we can continue to make a difference and achieve even more progress in the year ahead. Thank you for your tireless work and commitment!
