”I love processes. It's a bit like when Robban Broberg sings ”The goal is nothing, the path is everything”," says Ted Srigley, new process manager at Lumena and Conecto.
Ted comes from a theatre family and practically grew up behind the scenes. This sparked my curiosity about drama education, which eventually led me to social pedagogical work.
”I want to help ensure that vulnerable groups are included in society. Regardless of identity and background, everyone should have chances. We want to reach hidden target groups and give them the support they need to reach the open labour market.”
Ted has seen first-hand that collaboration delivers better results for the target groups of the coordination organisations and believes that the research linked to the projects will be a success factor in developing the welfare of the future.
Ted has a diverse background in theatre, music, leadership and business development. Most recently he comes from a role as Supported Employment supervisor in our former ESF project MIA.
”I am a responsive and constructive person with the ability to think outside the box. One of my strengths is my own experience of needing support from the public systems.
Back then, I had people who listened and believed in me. If they hadn't, I would never have made it. That life experience is shared by our participants.
We all have a friend, relative or partner who at some point has needed support to cope with their everyday life. For me, the driving force is an understanding that it can actually be anyone who needs us.”.
Humbled by the size, complexity and challenges of the project, Ted takes on the new role with confidence.
”We cannot change the past, but we can learn from experience. We cannot change the future, but we can do things here and now that lead to change.
We will do that. Now we need to get everyone on board and create synergies. We need to incorporate a sense of 'we' where we believe in change together.
