Participatory Inclusion, Youth 2030 Movement

"It is always adults who decide when they want young people's opinions"

Today's knowledge seminar featured Stina Scott from the Youth 2030 Movement. Youth 2030 Movement is a movement of democracy activists, young leaders, children's rights campaigners and adult allies working to empower young people in democracy.

Young people want to be involved, to voice their opinions and to be involved in decisions that affect them. At the same time, many young people around the country feel that this is not possible, and there is disappointment with an adult world that repeatedly raises expectations and hopes of listening to young people's voices but then does not deliver.

Together with the Lumena and Conecto projects, we are exploring how young people can have more influence on issues they want to influence - and how our organisations can build structures for this.
