Follow-up researchers in focus - Ulla-Karin Schön

Meet Ulla-Karin Schön, social worker and professor of social work at Stockholm University, whose research interests lie in the field of mental health and disability, in particular individuals' opportunities for participation in society.
With solid experience of leading research projects in areas such as user participation and person-centred social services, she is an important part of our group of follow-up researchers.

Ulla-Karin is part of a group of accompanying researchers who together will carry out a sub-study whose purpose is to investigate how labour market support can be changed to meet the needs of those who are considered to be far from the labour market in an equal and non-discriminatory way, and how the accessibility of public actors can be increased to meet these needs.

Ulla-Karin, together with Mr Joakim Tranquist look more closely at how outreach activities can be conducted and how support from different actors can be coordinated to promote more people reaching work or full studies.

On 1 October, Ulla-Karin will also hold a knowledge seminar on the recovery processTake the opportunity to gain new insights and tools that can help improve support and recovery for those who need it most.
