The seven (now 8) sub-projects

Our basic idea

We combine direct support to the project's target groups through evidence-based methods leading to employment and studies with skills development for employees and decision-makers in organisations, authorities and companies.

Two projects, seven coordination organisations, 20 municipalities

The coordination organisations in Stockholm County are carrying out a major initiative for an open, equal, egalitarian and more inclusive region.

At least 1,600 people will receive support for work and study and at least 1,000 employees and managers at the county's municipalities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and in the healthcare sector will receive skills development programmes to strengthen support for the target group.

Lumena and Conecto is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and is run by seven coordination organisations in Stockholm County. Samordningsförbundet Östra Södertörn is the project owner.

Lumena is aimed at people who need coordinated support to get into work or study. We use the methods of Supported Employment, Supported Education and Case Management.

Conecto offers skills development to all those who can influence labour market challenges. The project focuses on methodology, gender equality, equity and accessibility. Through training, courses and seminars, we will steer towards a more inclusive and equal labour market.

We are reducing exclusion
Lumena and Conecto are committed to being an important part of social development. Whatever the task, we approach it with a participatory perspective and a growing understanding of what our participants need to start working or studying.

Our vision:

Shaping an inclusive society
With knowledge and insight, we build from within to contribute with our activities to a resilient and inclusive society. This creates security for citizens, our members and society at large.

Knowledge and enhanced co-operation
Conecto is a joint initiative within Stockholm County, aimed at employees of the coordination organisations' member parties: the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the municipalities and Region Stockholm.

We will help employees and managers in the field of vocational rehabilitation, decision-makers, political clients and civil society to gain in-depth knowledge of approaches and methods that lead to sustainable establishment in working life.

Conecto's ambition is to increase knowledge of each other's missions and how we can work together to develop collaboration that leads to sustainable establishment in work or study. We will also contribute with increased knowledge about discriminatory structures in the labour market and in society.
