The participatory perspective in Lumena: All voices count

”I feel that the project has both changed and improved my life.”

At Lumena Conecto, we believe in the power of participants' voices. Each story, each experience, is a reminder of why the participatory perspective is so central to our work.

How do we work with the participatory approach?
◾ Ambassadors - represent the participatory perspective in performance dialogues and meetings, for example with the Regional Steering Group.
◾ Development groups - bring together project staff with the aim of strengthening participatory influence and empowerment.
◾ Participant stories - provide a deeper understanding of the participants' journey - before, during and after the project. We value the expertise and the stories are complementary to, for example, research and the participant surveys carried out in the project.

Participant stories that change perspectives
One of our goals is to spread these voices further. By sharing quotes, insights and stories from our participants, we hope to inspire others to see the value of inclusion - in the labour market and in society at large.

We know that our work is making a difference. So far, we have reached more than 1,200 people, 350 of whom have gone on to work or study.
