A week free from violence

25 November is Orange Day and the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls.

The coordination associations are working on early detection of violence in close relationships and the recurring campaign and activity week ”A week free from violence” highlights the preventive work against men's and boys' violence. Lumena and Conecto have also chosen to be part of the work in combating domestic violence.

During the annual campaign week, municipalities and authorities, among others, organise activities such as lectures, film screenings and parent fairs focusing on violence prevention. Below are examples of activities taking place regionally during the week.

A week free from violence is an initiative created by Unizon and MÄN and supported by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the Swedish Gender Equality Agency and the county administrative boards.
