Violence Free Week - working together towards a society free from violence

Today sees the launch of a Week free from violence, a recurring week of campaigns and activities highlighting the prevention of men's and boys' violence. The initiative, run by Unizon and MEN, has a clear goal - to create a society where violence is not part of our everyday lives.

The aim of the week is to:
🔹 Making the important work of violence prevention visible.
🔹 Inspire local and regional collaboration.
🔹 Building commitment for long-term change.

Activities such as lectures, workshops, discussion groups and film screenings are organised around the country. Regionally and in our member municipalities, there are various types of activities that focus on violence prevention.

Prevention is central to creating change. It is about addressing norms, strengthening gender equality and working actively to break destructive patterns. Together, we can create a safer society where violence has no place.
