Alexandra struggled with unemployment and exclusion for a long time. After being made redundant from her job, she found herself in, as she describes it, a situation she felt she could not get out of and had thoughts of ending her life.
The turnaround came when she was put in touch with a coordination organisation via the psychiatric service. She was then enrolled in Lumena and, with the support of the project, has not only found a permanent job that she enjoys, but also help to process traumatic experiences linked to domestic violence.
