Today, the Coordination Associations in Stockholm County invited to an inspiring and insightful results dialogue for the ESF projects Lumena and Conecto!
In attendance were project staff and key people with the opportunity to influence labour market challenges. The morning was filled with lessons learnt and reflections on the first year's results for the projects.
A particularly powerful moment was when one of our project workers, Fetie Özpolat from the Your Turn sub-project, shared the stories of two participants - a concrete example of how projects play a crucial role in people's lives and choices✨
We were also told Mr Nadim Ghazale who shared their thoughts on the key to inclusion and safety. A thought provoking lecture with insights that we can benefit from both on an individual and organisational level.
The morning ended with a panel discussion where Anna Lexelius, Elin Pietras, Ulla-Karin Schön, Mr Nadim Ghazale and Kitimbwa Sabuni discussed an important question: why is it so difficult for some target groups to access the labour market?
The panel highlighted several key challenges, including the need for more organic community building and making discriminatory structures in the labour market visible. Although the knowledge is there, there is often a lack of acceptance and willingness to change. A paradigm shift is needed where both politics and business take joint responsibility for breaking the old systems that still favour certain groups.
A big thank you to all participants and panellists for a morning full of inspiration and important insights. Together we can create change!
