We are proud to say that Lumena is making a difference. An article in Dagens Nyheter mentions one of our seven sub-projects - Lumena Roslagen. The sub-project is aimed at people who, among other things, live in Norrtälje municipality and need complex support to reach work or study.
In Norrtälje municipality, a high proportion of residents have some form of mental illness and are socio-economically vulnerable. Norrtälje municipality has recognised this and is working to rethink social services, where Lumena plays an important role.
With the help of the project, the social services in Norrtälje municipality are given the opportunity to cooperate with other actors such as the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency and the health service, which in many cases is an absolute necessity for people who are far from working life to achieve self-sufficiency and a sustainable working life.
